Fansly agency: what it does, what it costs, and how to tell if it's legit

Updated · LuxOnly Creators

Short answer: a Fansly agency runs your account, posting, chat and promo for a share of your earnings or a fixed fee. Fansly openly allows it: it has a built-in feature called Management Sessions so a team can help without your password, and it keeps payouts locked to you. Fansly pays creators 80% of revenue; an agency's share comes out of your part. A legit one keeps everything in your name and puts its terms in writing.

Does Fansly allow agencies and managers?

Yes, and it's pretty upfront about it. Fansly's Help Center has a page on Management Sessions, built for creators "working with a team, agency, or assistant." You create a session, choose exactly what that person can do, and share a single-use link. They log in without your password.

Two details matter a lot: sensitive areas like payouts and account closure are always restricted in those sessions, and you can edit or delete a session anytime. Fansly also says you're responsible for everything done through a session you create, so only give one to people you trust.

So if an agency asks for your Fansly password instead of a Management Session, ask why.

What does a Fansly agency actually do?

  • Sets up and configures the account in your name.
  • Plans and schedules posts, including short pieces made for Fansly's For You Page.
  • Picks tags and hashtags that fit your content and stay inside Fansly's rules.
  • Runs the chat with your fans, inside the limits you set.
  • Coordinates Fansly with your OnlyFans, if you have both, so prices and posts don't clash.

How is Fansly different from OnlyFans for an agency?

The big one is discovery. Fansly has a built-in For You Page that recommends posts based on what fans engage with. Per its FYP help page, only posts you opt in get promoted there, and locked media needs a free preview to be eligible. OnlyFans has very little of that, so traffic there comes almost entirely from outside.

In practice, a good Fansly agency spends real time on FYP-ready clips and on tagging. One that just mirrors your OnlyFans posts onto Fansly is leaving that on the table.

How much does a Fansly agency cost?

Start with the platform. Fansly says in its Getting Started guide that creators receive 80% of revenue from subscriptions, sold media, messages and tips. After each sale, funds sit in a 7-day pending period before they're available to withdraw.

The agency's fee comes out of your 80%. The two common models are a revenue share or a fixed monthly amount. The questions that matter: is the percentage on gross or net, and does the money land in your account first? For industry ranges and how to compare offers, read how much agencies take; the logic is the same on Fansly.

If you'd rather we handle it: at LuxOnly our team runs the accounts, chat and promo, and you focus on creating. Your accounts and bank stay in your name. See if you're a fit, it takes a minute.

Is a Fansly agency legit?

Some are, some aren't. Here's how to tell:

  • The account is verified with your ID and the payout method is in your name. Never an account someone else verified.
  • They use Management Sessions or explain clearly what access they need and why.
  • The terms are in writing before you start: the split, the base it's calculated on, notice to leave, and what happens to your account.
  • You never pay upfront for "FYP boosting," training or verification.
  • They follow Fansly's rules on tags and wording, with no tricks to get around filters.

Our guide on whether agencies are legit goes deeper on red flags. It's written about OnlyFans, but it applies one-to-one.

Can fans tell an account is managed?

Honest answer: a lot of agencies use a chat team. What matters is that you know, you can read it, and nothing crosses your limits. At LuxOnly, our chat team writes in your style, within the limits you set, and you can read every conversation from your account. What shouldn't happen is you not knowing, not being able to read the conversations, or someone saying things in your name that cross your limits. Get it in the contract.

Is a Fansly agency worth it?

It's worth it when the non-creating work (posting, FYP clips, tags, chat, promo) eats more time than you have, and the agency's share is lower than the value of that time. If you have the time and enjoy that side of things, you might not need one. Fansly also says in its Creator Security FAQ that it shields creators from chargebacks in most cases, which is one less thing to manage either way.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Fansly agency need my password?

It shouldn't have to. Fansly's Management Sessions let a team log in with a link and only the permissions you choose, and payouts and account closure stay locked to you.

How much does Fansly take from creators?

Fansly says creators receive 80% of revenue from subscriptions, sold media, messages and tips. Any agency fee comes out of your share, so ask whether it's calculated on gross or net.

Which Fansly agency is best?

There's no single best one. Compare who owns the account, the split and its base, who runs chat, how you leave, and whether you ever pay upfront. The one that answers all of that in writing is a better bet than the one with the loudest promises.

To create on these platforms you must be 18 or older and verify your identity with the platform.
